Guiding Symptoms.     Dislike of water, red orifices, dry skin and hair, sinking feeling at stomach during dawn time and are the major guiding symptoms of this remedy. This remedy is also greatly used in the start of the treatment of chronic cases and at the end of acute cases. It is also a high antipsoric remedy. It symptoms worsen in standing position. It acts well on dirty and grubby people. Its action begins from inner parts and moves towards outward. Skin become hot and burning, with itching sensation which aggravates in warmth of bed. Dislike bathing or washing hand or feet etc. Disgusting character of discharges, emissions and exhalations. Lips and face become red and flushing brightly.

Mind Symptoms.  Adult people acts like children. Become irritable. Selfish and having no regard and honor for other people. Forgetfulness exists. Religious melancholy and sadness presents. Patients of this remedy remain depressed, irritable, prickly, feeble and weak even with good meal. Dislike business issues, patient too lazy to carry his own body weight. Patient thinks that he is giving bad things to people which causing their death.

Head Symptoms.  Itching and flaming scratching in the head which causes burning. Beating like headache which worsens by bending down. Temples feel very heavy. Recurring headache which returns after a particular gap of time. Occiput remains hot (compare with Graphites in this condition). Dry scalp, falling of hair which aggravates  from washing. 

Fever Symptoms. Severe and violent flow of heat from body. Skin become dry and patient feels great thirst. Frequent and regular flashes of heat. Remittent fever found. More sweats during night especially on occiput.

Eyes Symptoms.  Circle around light of lamp. Complaints of Parenchymatous keratitis found in this remedy. Eyes become hot and burning (compare with Belladonna Arsenic Album in this condition). Burning like ulcerated wounds beyond the eyelids. In the beginning of corneal ulceration. Chronic and unceasing ophthalmia along-with itching and burning.

Skin Symptoms.   Burning and Itching of skin which aggravates and worsens by scratching and washing. Pimple like eruption, hangnails, freckles, pustules and rhagades appears on skin. Excoriation particularly in folds surfaces of skin (compare with Lycopodium in this condition). Pruritus from heat and warmth, in the evening time which come back in spring season and in damp and moist weather. Skin become dry, unhealthy, scaly and bleeds easily. Sensation of a tight band around bones. Skin problems after local / self medication. 

Male Symptoms.  Itching and burning of sex organs / genitals while sleeping in bed. Patient feels stitches in penis. Involuntary and spontaneous discharge. Sex organs remain cold, relaxed and weak.

Female Symptoms.  Delayed, thick, scanty, and painful menses which makes sex organs sore. Nipples become cracked, elegant and burning. Burning of vaginal opening. Headache due to or menses stops unexpectedly. Unpleasant perspiration. Burning and excoriate leucorrhea.

                            

Rectum Condition.  Redness encircled the anus along-with itching. Child afraid due to severe pain. Burning and Itching of anus. Hemorrhoids, emission and belching from anus. Frequent, recurring and unsuccessful desire of stool. In morning painless diarrhea found along-with prolapsus rectum and anus. Piles depends upon enlargement of abdomen.

Respiratory System.   Complaints of Aphonia found in the patients of Sulphur. Chest remains hot and red-brown color spots on the chest. Cough which worsens in the morning and from talking. Hard and burning like feelings in chest. Severe Pleuritic exudations. Difficult and hard respiration. Patient wants windows remain opened. Rapid pulse in the morning. Stitching pains shooting and rushed towards back which worsen from lying on back side or deeply breathing. Heat flows from chest towards head. Pressure like weight on chest. Dyspnea during mid-night which relieved by sitting. Chest become heavy. Patient feels that his / her heart is enormously large and beating fast.

Mouth Symptoms.  Tongue coated with white color. Bitter and sore taste feels in morning. Lips become burning, dry, bright and red. Gums swollen and throbbing pain in gums.

Stomach Symptoms.  Patient drinks more and eats little. Patient wants to eat sweet things (compare with Argintum Nitricum in this condition). Appetite losses or become extra-ordinary. Acidity in stomach increased. Painful, burning and heaviness feels in stomach. Patient feels weak during dawn and desire to eat something. Tastes of tongue become salty. Nausea and vomiting. Aversion and disagrees milk. 

Modalities. All the symptoms worsen from warmth in bed, washing & bathing, taking rest, while standing and in the morning. Better from lying on right side and in dry and warm weather.

Relationship. 

i.              Complementary:- Aconite, Psorinum

ii.    Compare with:- Mercuris, Calcarea Carb, Calcarea Phos, Pulsatella, Sepia and Aconite.

Dosage. In all acute cases, treatment must be started with the 30^th potency. In chronic cases, best result can be obtained from using the 200^th or higher potency.
